The Top 10 Isekai Anime That Everyone Needs to Watch

Isekai is a popular anime genre where an anime character is sent to some fantasy or mystery world. Most of these anime have people living normal lives (what we consider normal) to some magical realms . The fun ones to be totally honest are the ones where the exact opposite happens and magical beings or other worldly being somehow end up in the regular world. So without any further ado, we present you our list of some good Isekai anime to watch. 

In todays list we have one Isekai anime that you probably don't see in many other lists so read till the end to find that one out. 

1. That Time I Got Reincarnated as a Slime: 

A man is stabbed, without no apparent reason, on the street and is reincarnated into another world and of all of the things that he could be reincarnated as...you guessed it..he becomes a slime.. He isn't just your regular slime that little girls like to play with, but he has quite the skill. He is pretty much ditto in Pokemon and can absorb skills from his environment , foes , friends , whatever. Now as you can imagine, this can be quite a deadly skill but our man Rimuru uses is to help people instead of doing harm like any good protagonist. That Time I got Reincarnated as a slime is a very good Isekai anime that I definitely recommend. 

2. The Rising of the Shield Hero

The rising of the Shield Hero is another great Isekai anime. It is without a doubt, one of the best Isekai anime around. It follows Naofumi , a nerd kid, who is transported to another world where he has to deal with the waves of catastrophe with a couple other heroes . The shield hero, although it sounds cool, is actually a weak hero so he is looked down by the others. He gets betrayed like any good anime protagonist and has to take down the mission on himself so that he can go back home. 

4. Overlord

Overlord is another good Isekai anime to watch. it has a different story or rather a different start from most other Isekai anime . Our boy Momonga loves playing this MMORPG game which is called Yggdrasil . He for no apparent reason one day , decides to stay logged in the game for as long as possible. Also without no apparent reason, he gets transported to his game world, becomes his character and has the NPC of the game come to life. He has a guild to run so go watch it and help him out .. Anyways, overload is a very good Isekai anime if you are looking fo one. you probably are..lol

5. Re:Zero

Re:Zero is another Isekai anime that I really enjoyed. The main dude, Subaru keeps dying . Im sure some people kept count as to how many Times but it couldn't have been less than 20 times. Yep!! And he keeps coming back to life like ridiculously. The cycle breaks, not really, when Satella, and out of the world beauty, helps him out. Again do check out this anime if you are looking for a good Isekai anime to watch. 

6. The Devil Is A Part-Timer!

This anime is an outlier to the other anime in out list because of all the possible people and all the possible places to be transported to ...The devil gets transported to Tokyo . This would be a pretty good title now that I think of it. Anyways, poor devil is stripped of all his demonic powers and so is left helpless in Tokyo. It is definitely one of the best Isekai anime so do check it out. 

7. KonoSuba: God's Blessing On This Wonderful World!

This is another outlier to our list in a sense that the guy that dies . Kazuma Satou, has options as to where he gets reincarnated . He can go to HEAVEN or to a world that is pretty much the video game he plays. The idiotic kid choses the game world , being an avid gamer, and well , we get the end product which is his struggles in the game world which is quite different from what he expected . a very good Isekai anime , nevertheless, and so do check it out. 

8. How NOT to Summon a Demon Lord

Takuma Skamoto is summoned into his favorite game buy these two girls you see above to make his their slave but out man turns the tables and makes these girls his slave instead . They don't mind all that much though so it all works out . 

9. GATE

I will put this one very simply. This is Kinda like AVENGERS. First earth is invaded and then a portal opens up in the middle of Tokyo and so there you have it .. The Avengers . But the plot is different though ..lol. its anime after all and its is actually a really good Isekai anime. It has a bunch of great elements involved, making it a very good Isekai anime. Its funny and totally worth the watch. 


10. In Another World with My Smartphone

Get ready for it. God smites our boy Touya , accidentally with a lightning bolt. As a compensation for his action got takes Touya to a world where he has more magical powers than he can ever imagine . Like any kids in today's world , the kids make a wish of having his cell phone with him giving us the title of our anime. 

BONUS: 

Knights & Magic: 

Knights and Magic tells the story of a young Japanese man who dies in a car accident and reincarnates as a child in an alternate world where magic and giant robots are real. He then dedicated his time to fulfilling his lifelong dream of building his own mecha. I don't know why this anime isn't on very many lists because having watch the other good Isekai anime, this one definitely deserves to be on the list . 

The Kings Avatar : 

There seems to be a debate going on as to wether gaming anime are Isekai or not but If SAO is a gaming anime, so is the Kings Avatar. Don't argue that SAO is Isekai because of AR tech and the guy is trapped in the world or whatever. I guess all gaming anime could be Isekai . Whether of not this is isekai doesn't really matter tho because it is an amazing anime that you should definitely watch .
